UnfollowUsers ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome extension handles your information.
Information We Collect
We do NOT collect any personal information. The UnfollowUsers extension operates entirely within your browser and does not transmit your data to any external servers (except for payment processing).
Data Stored Locally
The following data is stored locally in your browser only:
- Session preferences (unfollow limit)
- Whitelist entries (usernames you want to protect)
- Daily unfollow count (for limit tracking)
- Language preference (EN/PT)
- Auto-cooldown settings
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
Instagram Data Access
The extension requires access to Instagram.com to function. When you use the extension:
- We read your Following list to identify accounts to unfollow
- We interact with Instagram's unfollow buttons on your behalf
- We never access your messages, password, or personal profile data
- We never store or transmit your Instagram data externally
Payment Processing
For paid subscriptions, we use ExtensionPay (powered by Stripe) for secure payment processing. When you subscribe:
- Payment is processed securely by Stripe
- We never see or store your credit card information
- ExtensionPay stores only the minimum data required to verify your subscription status
Analytics
We use PostHog for basic, anonymous analytics to understand how our extension is used. This includes:
- Extension opens (anonymous count)
- Feature usage (start/stop actions)
- No personally identifiable information is collected
Data Sharing
We do NOT sell, trade, or transfer your data to third parties.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the extension's core functionality.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Clear all locally stored data by removing the extension
- Cancel your subscription at any time
- Request deletion of any payment-related data from ExtensionPay

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
